FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. SERIES AND RANGE ENTRIES - PROCESSING
Service Order Analysis and Control System (SOAC) should process series and range data entries using the DUPLICATE algorithm.
  2. 5ESS
Allowed element combinations (1 through 5; 1 and 7 through 13; 1 and 14 through 18) may appear in any sequence with each other. When allowed combinations appear in any sequence, the combination sets must be separated by semicolon space.
  3. 5ESS Element Combinations
A directory number can be assigned up to 3 ASP feature names, 1 originating, 1 terminating, and 1 NESS.  Each feature name and associated parameters may appear on one USOC logical line, separated by semicolon space, e.g.,

  4. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
  5. X action codes are prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

  1. 5E6 through 5E8
The switch default is N for "Not Allowed."  The presence of this FID infers an entry of Y for "Allowed."
  2. 5E6 through 5E8
Although this is out-bound data, it is not called "originating".  The terms "originating" and "terminating" apply to voice services. The ISDN end-user may receive in-bound data messages if the option of SCP ALW (View 23.2) has been assigned to the end-user's directory number.  See Service Control Point Allowed (SCPA) FID.
  3. 5E9.2 - Network Element Service Signaling (NESS)
This is a unidirectional service (outbound from the end-user) that provides a mechanism for transporting data from an AIN Service Circuit Node (SCN) or other Iintelligent Pperipherals (IP) to an AIN service Control Point (SCP) through the 5ESS, which acts as an interface between the SCN and SCP.  An example of the data that is provided would be called party identification, transmitted via the D channel's signaling capabilities to the distant end.

Element Rules:

Lucent has defined most of the popular assignable service features, which are referred to as "pre-constructed" features and are identified on a FID by a mandatory leading asterisk "*".  Additionally, system administrators are able to locally customize additional assignable features, which are referred to as "constructible" features.  Constructible features are locally developed, do not contain a leading asterisk and have 1-8 character feature names.  The Feature field is used to define both "pre-constructed" and "constructible" types of features.
