FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
  2. X action code prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

  1. Assignable line USOCs are used to determine the required LCC (Line Class Code) translations in the switch.  The LCC FID is used when an assignable line USOC is not specific enough to uniquely identify the switch LCC for exchange lines or trunks or Centrex stations.  Only one LCC entry is permitted per USOC line.  The ELC FID, which is an alternative to the LCC FID, is designed to enhance the USOC as it is used to determine the required Line Class Code but is not, in itself, a Line Class Code.
  2. Switch Line Class Codes are locally developed on an individual company basis, and may not be standardized between switches and/or companies.  ELC was developed to allow information to be standardized across switches and/or companies.  While the data following ELC is locally developed, it is assumed there will be coordination between the companies who wish to share the information.
  3. Operation Systems support is required if you choose to use ELC. ELC and LCC will not both appear.   ELC will enhance the USOC in order for the Operation Systems to determine an LCC based on the USOC. When LCC appears on a USOC logical line, the LCC value overrides the USOC value, therefore, there is no need for ELC.
