FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

1. Section : ASGM   Position : FL
   When a central office code (e.g., NXX code) is served from more than one wire center, EXK is required to determine the switching equipment serving the customer.
2. When a remote switching system resides in a remote wire center, it must have a unique exchange key code assigned.
3. Section : ASGM  Position : FL
   This FID is entered in the Central Office Facilities Subset.
4. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
5. X action code prohibited on Access Service orders.
6. The exchange key entered in the S&E section should be the same as the exchange key in the Assignment section.
7. Section:  S&E    Position:  FL
   For NXX Code Sharing applications, EXK is required on any left-hand appearance of the FIDs Hunting-Multiline Group Number (HML), Hunting Sequence Non-Multiline Group (HTG), and Multiline Non-Hunt Group Number (MLG), and on any assignable line USOC logical line.
8. Section:  IDENT   Position:  LH
   At the time of issuance, this FID was not supported by Telcordia and/or Ericsson Operations Support Systems (OSSs).  Please check with your local OSS staff for processing capabilities (current and/or proposed) for the specific OSS.
9. Section: IDENT   Position: LH
   The absence of an action code infers the presence of an "I" (IN) action code.   The I action code is optional on the service order.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

1. When it appears on the service order, the EXK entry always identifies the switching equipment where the service enters the switched network.
