INDICATES:

The directory in which the following types of listings are to appear:

- Foreign

- Special Reverse Charge Service

- Special Access Code Services, e.g., 700, 800, 900

- Manual Mobile

- Alternate Call listings which are to appear in a directory different from the     directory which is primary to the alternate call telephone number

- Foreign exchange listings when they are to appear in the
  directory in which the address normally would appear

- Non-standard telephone number configuration

FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. When multiple Foreign Directory Names are required, the FID FDN and the appropriate data entry must be repeated on the same logical line.
  2. When the Foreign Listing (FL), Enterprise Service Additional Listing (ENU), Enterprise Service Listing-Different Company (ENV),  Enterprise Service Listing (ENT), Enterprise Service Additional Listing-Different Company (EN7) or Non-Standard Telephone Number (NSTN) FIDs appear, the FDN FID must appear on the same logical line.
  3. Up to 30 FDN entries are allowed on a single listing except on X orders where only 1 FDN is allowed.
  4. When FDN is used with the Listed Name (LN), Non-Listed Name (NLST), and Non-Published Name (NP) FIDs, the listing must be a special services listing.

Element Rules:

The data entry must include at least the directory name. It may include:
  - the directory name and state name - the directory name and directory section - the directory name, directory section and state name
The hyphen is used between the directory name and the directory section.
The comma and space precede the state name.
