FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
HTG is used left-hand to identify each hunting sequence, central office and station line that belongs to each sequence.
  2. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
HTG is entered left-hand either before or after any other left-hand FIDs or USOC action lines.  A separate HTG entry, each with its own hunt sequence identifier, is required for each hunting sequence on a facility account. This type of hunting is called series completion (1A, EWSD, 5E) or directory number (DMS-10 and DMS-100) hunting. Each hunting sequence on each facility account is assigned a unique hunt sequence identifier. Following the hunt sequence identifier, each line in the hunt sequence is identified by a telephone number or equivalent.
  3. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
HTY may appear floating following the left-hand FID HTG to indicate implementation as a Directory Number Hunt (DH) Series Completion Hunting (SC) in a DMS-100 switch or Directory Number Hunt (DNH) in a DMS-10 switch.
  4. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
If a line is added to or deleted from the hunting sequence, or if the sequence of entries is changed, the HTG entry for that hunting sequence of entries is changed.  The HTG entry for that hunting sequence is shown out (O) and in (I) with the change reflected in the I entry.  The O entry must precede the I entry.  If the line is added to or deleted from an account, the line USOC will be shown I or O.
  5. Section:  S&E    Position:  FL
HTG must be used floating as a reference to the left-hand entry.
  6. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
When a data entry is changed, e.g., a telephone number in the sequence is changed, the HTG entry is shown out (O) and in (I) with the change reflected in the I entry.  The line USOC also is shown changed (C&T or C&X) on the service order.
  7. Section:  S&E    Position:  FL
When HTG appears floating it is followed only by the hunt sequence identifier of the HTG sequence being referenced.
  8. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH
For Access Service Tariff application C and T Action Codes cannot be used to change Element 1.
  9. Series hunting in an EWSD office consists of three or more lines.
  10. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
  11. X action code prohibited on Access Service orders.
  12. Section:  S&E    Position:  LH, FL
When NXX Code Sharing is involved, EXK is required on left-hand and floated HTG logical lines.
  13. SERIES AND RANGE ENTRIES - PROCESSING
Service Order Analysis and Control System (SOAC) should process series and range data entries using the DUPLICATE algorithm.
