SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:
  1. The interface link for Octel Voice Messaging System can be either a standard switch (1AESS or 5ESS) or a DMS-100 switch.  The switch type describes the SMDI protocol used: standard or DMS-100.  A standard switch indicates the standard ASCII protocol used by 1AESS or 5ESS switches, and a DMS-100 switch indicates the XON/XOFF protocol used by DMS-100 switches.
