FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. The MST FID, with no data following it, is used to indicate that this location is the master leg/segment.  Element 1 and code set A is used to indicate that the customer has identified this location as a master leg during alternative time periods.
  2. For Digital Data Service (DDS) application, the master circuit location is that leg of the multipoint service connected to the zero port of the first multi-junction unit (bridge) inside the LATA.
  3. MST is used, for example, to identify the controlling CKL on a Dial Select-A-Station (DSAS) multipoint.
  4. The master circuit location may be at any end user Circuit Location, i.e., CKL, designated by the Interexchange Carrier (IC), not necessarily in the same LATA as the bridge. When in a different LATA, CKL1 is the master circuit location for the LATA containing the bridge.
  5. T and F service orders are prohibited for Access Service application.
  6. X action codes prohibited on Access Service orders.
