REFERENCE

INDICATES:

The code that uniquely identifies information associated with a USOC. REF may be required when:

(1)  there is more than one identical USOC on the account or within portions of the account, e.g., a key system, when there is a need to identify S&E entries which contain the same USOC.

(2)  there is a need to tie the additional listing identifier (ALI) to an associated listing USOC.  The REF code is the same alpha character as the ALI appearing in the ---LIST section on the order.

(3)  the FIDs EBD or EDD follow a listing USOC  other than the main listing.  If REF is not present it will be assumed that the data entry applies to the main listing.

(4)  there is a need to relate USOCs with Secondary Station Bridged entries.
