FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. Section:  ASGM     Position:  FL
This FID is entered in the Central Office Facilities subset.
  2. 5E5 through 5E9 when retrofited
The SPID is used by the switch to identify a specific user profile, i.e., terminal, for call set-up activities.  The hierarchy of SPID selection is (high to low):
tab (,); l l. Circuit Telephone Number (CKT TN), Circuit Multiline Hunt Group ,Number and Terminal Group Number (CKT MLHG/TER), On Demand B Channel Packet Data ,Terminal Number (ODB TN), D Channel Packet Data Terminal Number (DPKT), D Channel Packet Multiline Hunt ,Group Number and Terminal Number (DPKT MLHG/TER).
  3. Section:  S&E     Position:  FL
For mechanized flow-through, FID may be entered on a feature USOC logical line if Special Service Circuit Identification in CLCI-S/S Serial Number Format (CLS) or one of the following combinations of FIDs appear on the same logical line:
    -  Primary Number (PN) and Call Appearance (CAPP) (with the CA attribute)
    -  PN and Key Designation (KEY)
    -  Telephone Number (TN) and SPID
    -  Telephone Line Identifier (TLI), PN and Terminal Number-Multiline Group (TER)
  4. DMS-100
The SPID FID and its data are required when the logical terminal has a dynamic Terminal Equipment Identifier (TEI).
  5. DMS-100
The SPID FID is used by the switch during call-setup to identify a user's physical set.
  6. DMS-100
The telephone number data entered after the SPID FID is the terminal's primary directory number.
  7. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
  8. X action code prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

  1. 5E5 ISDN
The Service Profile Identifier (SPID) component of Extended Primary Directory Number (EDPN) is represented by elements 3 and 4, collectively.
  2. 5E9
The "Standardized" SPID is composed of two parts, the User Service Profile Identifer (USPID) and the Terminal Identifier (TID). The USPID is the provisioned portion of the SPID.  The value of the TID is not entered through recent change activities.  The SPID (USPID + TID) is entered in the terminal by the user and is subsequently used during terminal initialization to identify the terminal to the switch.
  3. 5E9
The USPID is not based on any switch algorithm, but is assigned by the service provider personnel.  The TID may be assigned by the service provider or by the end user.  Unless a service provider elects to inventory the TID for maintenance purposes, the TID is not needed on a service order.
  4. 5E9
The 10 digit Custom Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) SPID format (with or without the TID) may be used for the Standard DSL USPID format.
  5. 5E9
The USPID may be composed of a numeric string with hyphens and spaces for readability.  The switch translations support 3-18 numeric characters. Hyphens and spaces are not required in the switch.
