    This FID is entered in the Miscellaneous Subset, Central Office Facilities Subset and Outside Plant Facilities Subset.
  2. T, F and X order types are prohibited for Access Service application.
  3. X action codes are prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:
  1. The same protection used for SSP (see the FID SSP) is required for SSM; in addition, locked terminals, unbridged pairs, wire in conduit, and cable in lieu of loop wire are required. Engineering authorization is required to establish SSM.
  2. Special safeguarding measures (SSM) are primarily used on services involving national security.
