FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. For multiline groups in stored program control switches, this FID must be:
    A.   Associated with all entries of the floated Hunting-Multiline Group Number (HML) FID, floated Terminal Number-Multiline Group (TER) FID, and left-hand entries of the Multiline Non-Hunt Group Number (MLG) FID, and left-hand HML FID.

    B. The telephone number associated with the first terminal number of that group (except with Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) hunting) in the 5ESS, all hunt types in the EWSD, or Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Multiline Hunt in FETEX-150. In those cases where only the Screening Telephone Number (STN) is associated with the first terminal, it should be used as the TLI.

    C. Explicitly entered whenever the TER FID is entered and TER is not the Primary Line Identifier (PLID).

    D. A telephone number with no Originating Equipment (OE) assignment and is not assocoated with any specific TER as its telephone number when UCD hunting is provided by the 5ESS, all hunt types in the EWSD, or with ISDN Multiline Hunt in FETEX-150.
  2. The TLI associated with the Direct Inward Dial (DID) trunks to a customer premises switching system must be the first telephone number specified in the DID number group, or must be the first telephone number associated with the Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) service group.
  3. For Outgoing Only (OGO) Trunks, where only the Screening Telephone Number (STN) is associated with the first trunk, it should be used as the TLI.
  4. For all physical lines, circuits, or ISDN logical terminations the telephone number component of the primary line identifier must be in the exchange number format and must meet the following additional requirements:

    - when coupled with other primary line identifier components, it must provide unique line identification.

    - it must be a number in the customer's account and inventoried in the traffic unit serving the line being identified.

If the main telephone number does not meet these requirements, they must be met by TLI for each line or circuit entry.  If no such number is available on the order, an inventoried number may be assigned and dedicated for line identification purposes.
  5. 5ESS - ISDN Attendant Hunting (ISAT) or Multiline Positon Hunt (MUPH)
The Sub Group Telephone Number (SUTN) FID is entered on the left hand HML logical line instead of TLI.  At least one telephone number must be entered following the SUTN FID.  The first SUTN directory number must be used as the TLI directory number on the assignable line USOC logical lines that are associated with the hunt group.
  6. FID is required on left-hand HML logical line when the lead number to the hunt group is not associated with Originating Equipment (OE) as in 5ESS UCD Hunting, EWSD (all types of multiline hunting), or FETEX-150 ISDN Multiline Hunting.  In these cases, a toll guide USOC is required, identified with a telephone number FID whose data equals the TLI data.
  7. Section:  ASGM     Position:  FL
This FID is entered in the Miscellaneous Subset, Central Office Facilities Subset, and Outside Plant Facilities Subset.
  8. For Access Service Tariff application, C and T Action Codes cannot be used to change the TLI data.
  9. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
  10. Section:  S&E      Position:  FL
X action code prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

  1. FID may be entered on the left hand HML logical line to identify the pilot number of the hunt group when the serving control office switch does not use the group number (HML Element 1). However, if the serving end office switch is a 1AESS, 2ESS, or 3ESS the presence of this FID on the left hand HML logical line is redundant but not prohibited.  (Also see FID Rule 6.)
