FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:
  1. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:
  1. The UPOT FID is used to uniquely identify the Point of Termination of a co-provider's subscriber service at the point at which it enters the incumbent provider's domain. Entry is for the purpose of being cross-connected to the incumbent provider's unbundled resources (e.g., switch port resources, loop resources).
  2. The UPOT FID is intended to be used on unbundled service orders which will be processed as non-designed service orders. Refer to the CFA FID for usages which will be processed as designed service orders.
  3. The UPOT FID is furnished to support emerging unbundled services interfaces between various certified co-providers and the incumbent providers. As such, early users of the UPOT FID must understand that the marketplace is expected to gravitate toward a small number of highly standardized interface formats. In the meantime, however, the UPOT FID is provided with a relatively freeform structure. As more standardized interface formats emerge, the UPOT elements and allowable combinations will be standardized accordingly.
  4. Although the UPOT FID reflects technical consultations with centrally-developed OSS, specific details of non-designed OSS support for unbundling are not available at this time (and may vary from region to region).
