FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

  1. This FID is entered in the Outside Plant Facilities Subset. It is sometimes used in the Central Office Facilities Subset, associated with logical lines containing the Tie Cable (TIE) and/or Bridge Lifter Number (BL) FIDs.
  2. T and F order types are prohibited on Access Orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

  1. This FID is required when the "F1" cable and pair emanate from a building for which the wire center area cannot be uniquely determined from the NPA and central office code of the primary line identifier associated with the service.
  2. When possible, the wire center area code is established by selecting the Central Office Unit Prefix of one of the central office units, located within the wire center area as the specific identification number (Wire Center Area Code) for that wire center area.
  3. When the wire center area contains only one central office code and when that code is also contained in another wire center area, such as for some Community Dial Office (CDO) applications of  Remote Switching System (RSS), another unique numeric code  (i.e., a code that is not otherwise assigned in the same NPA) should be used for the CDO wire center area.
