INDICATES:

"X-Numbers" that are used in #1XBar offices for testing lines that do not require directory numbers such as PBX 9th level trunks and other lines with originating only service. X-Numbers may also be used to provide additional terminal hunting lines (terminating service) in #1XBar offices.

FID RULES/CONSTRAINTS:

1. Section  ASGM  Position  FL:
   This FID is entered in the Miscellaneous Subset, Central Office Facilities Subset, and Outside Plant Facilities Subset.
2. T, F, and X order types prohibited for Access Service application.
3. X action codes prohibited on Access Service orders.

SERVICE ORDER ACTIVITY NOTES:

1. X-Numbers are only accessed via special test trunks.  Four digits are dialed into the test trunks to select particular X-numbers. In some cases X-numbers are identified with the four digit numbers required access; however, in most cases they carry alphanumeric identifications. When alphanumerics are encountered local translations are required to convert to four digit access numbers.
